My Leopard Encounter

I know I mentioned in my previous post that I had not seen a cheetah and leopard in close range after more than 9 safaris. This encounter with the  leopard was breathtaking, the leopard walked alongside our vehicle for 150 meters.SAM_3130SAM_31321002798_10152910425125456_1273178447_n (1) After this we did get to see the Tsavo elephants that supposedly very different from those in Amboseli but i remember telling the driver I was okay I am ready to go home after the leopard:) SAM_2922We did pass through a certain area called the devils lava as  the area of about 2kms is full of lava that has been there for years with no particular origin. strangeSAM_2766.JPG

It now looks like I have a liking for Serena properties, well i kinda do, they do offer good resident prices however I have to say doing these trips made me realize the repetitive nature of their menus, it was good food all the same. My room had a great view of the watering hole which was really great. I stayed at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge.

When you leave me alone in a room and no idea what to do to entertain myself ..I go all in SAM_2823I have to say I saw the leopard on my first game drive and thus besides our very own sun downer where I was the bar lady mixing the classic bush margaritas I stayed in and enjoyed the great views from my room.SAM_2864SAM_3068SAM_3047 On our way out the driver took us to Mzima Springs where you go into a glass tunnel and view  the fish from eye level. It was really a nice climax of the trip.

Tsavo West really had a great sunset that made the end of my trip really enjoyable.SAM_3066SAM_3052
